Amanda Foulger

Faculty Emeritus

February 2021. After more than 33 years of commitment and teaching for the Foundation, Amanda Foulger has retired, earning Faculty Emeritus status. She began her training with Michael Harner in 1988 and started teaching for the FSS in 1999. Amanda leaves behind an amazing legacy, having taught more than 157 workshops, including three Three Year Programs in Advanced Shamanism, and five Two Week Shamanic Healing Intensives—more than 3,000 students.

In her remarkable career, Amanda has changed many lives, not only as a teacher, but as a full-time shamanic practitioner, providing shamanic counseling, training, and healing services. Over the course of decades, she developed a broad background in spiritual studies and practices, and her wisdom has served her students immensely in the programs she taught, as well as in the personal and group ceremonies and rites of passage she facilitated. As an ambassador for the Foundation, Amanda also gave many talks and presentations on Core Shamanism to various groups and institutions at special events and conferences.

Amanda is the author of a book of poetry, Dewpoint. She currently resides in the Los Angeles, California area.
