The Shaman As Psychopomp™

IN THE Shamanic Healing Online Training Program

Shamans are concerned with the human soul, with healing during life and assisting the soul's passage out of the Middle World after death. Familiar with the realms of the dead, a shaman can act as a psychopomp - a conductor of souls. A trained shamanic practitioner is able to guide the soul of a deceased person out of the Middle World to a place where the soul can receive help in taking the next step on its path. The focus of this training is on learning and practicing the psychopomp method.

In this fully experiential workshop, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Explore what happens for human souls from a core shamanic perspective after they leave the body - the "destiny of human souls" in the Upper, Lower, and Middle Worlds
  • Learn and practice the psychopomp method to help the souls of the deceased out of the Middle World to a better place
  • How to locate a soul in the Middle World that may be stuck and in need of help
  • How to obtain the soul's permission to offer shamanic assistance
  • How to guide the soul to a place in the Upper or Lower World where it will be helped to continue on its journey

What students say:

"This was a fantastic workshop. Wow-whee, did day one take many of us to a really deep embodied place! I came into this workshop without much expectation, since I've never seen souls of the dead. I just wanted to take the next course. But I felt so moved by what I saw and experienced, and how easily things flowed with the protocols we were given. I feel so much more connected to a larger world and a deeper opportunity to serve."

"It was awesome, inspiring, and very informative. Got me thinking there is something I can do, no matter how small, to help out with our current world situation."

"This workshop was really amazing! Full of content and the journeys were so deep, it is one of my favorites! And I'm so impressed that we can reach out so far through Zoom, it is incredible!"

"Very deeply satisfying. Gained a visceral understanding of what it means to be doing good work, which I did not expect. Really developed my relationships with the helping spirits in new directions."

"This exploration into psychopomp work had a deep emotional impact on me and opened up compassionate feelings I've not had in many years."
